Chiropractic is a science concerned with the relationship between structure (primarily the spine) and function (primarily the nervous system) of the human body as that relationship affects the restoration and preservation of health.
Chiropractic is a philosophy of things natural, desiring to remove interferences which prevent the body’s innate healing energy from healing itself.
Chiropractic is an art of administering its science and philosophy in the most efficient manner and skill possible in order to be as effective as possible in restoring and preserving excellent health.
The spine is made up of 24 individual bones called vertebrae stacked on top of the sacrum. This spinal structure is the major support for the body and encases and protects the spinal cord. Billions of nerves from the spinal cord branch off to form the spinal nerves that extend through small openings between the vertebrae, carrying vital, life-controlling nerve impulses from the brain to every part of the body. These nerve impulses, or messages from the brain, coordinate and control all the body’s organs and parts. A misalignment or subluxation of one or more vertebrae can irritate or affect the spinal nerves, muscles, blood vessels, lymphatics, etc…
Signs of subluxation include but are not limited to:
Headaches or Migraines
Upper and Lower Back Pain
Neck and Joint Stiffness
